Happy Wheels on Mobile

The official phone apps are free on the App Store and Google Play, both rated 17+, both with ads. iOS still has a level editor. Android’s editor is on hold. A Mac has no official app and uses the browser.

Where to play

I used the iTunes Lookup record for id 648668184 and Fancy Force’s mobile FAQ, plus the Play listing. iOS version 1.2.7 was updated 23 January 2024. Play showed Mature 17+, 10 million plus downloads, and an update dated 12 December 2025. Ratings change continuously, so check the stores for their current scores. I do not have an Android version number from the store page itself.

iOS specifics

Apple’s checked lookup record lists iOS 9.0 or newer and a file size of 70,711,296 bytes (about 70.7 MB decimal); installed storage and future versions can differ. Fancy Force’s older FAQ lists iPhone 4S, iPod touch 5th generation, iPad 2, and iPad mini as supported devices, describes black bars on newer screens, and says controls cannot be customized. Confirm current compatibility in the store for your device. The FAQ also explains that Apple required removal of injury to the child character, and quotes a $1.99 USD purchase to remove ads; the store’s current checkout controls the price.

Android and the phone browser

Android launched in January 2020. The official line on the missing editor is one sentence: “The Android level editor is on hold at the moment.” The JavaScript game can open in a phone browser. The December 2020 launch note said that first release had no on-screen controls and suggested a Bluetooth keyboard. Later touch controls are described on the community wiki, which I am not treating as an official changelog.
